Hanen^® program

At Logolab, we organize the program "It Takes Two to Talk", based on the world-renowned Hanen^® program It Takes Two to Talk^® (Elaine Weitzman, The Hanen Centre). It is designed for parents of children who have difficulties in speech and language development.

Children up to the age of three learn speech, language, and communication skills through play and interaction with the adults they love. The program helps parents adapt the way they communicate with their child, providing them with concrete tools and knowledge to support the development of speech, language, and communication.

Who is the program for?

The program is designed for parents of children who:

Are not yet using words, but communicate through eye contact, pointing, reaching, etc.;
Occasionally use a word or gesture;
Combine two to three words ("mama give", "more yum yum").

What will parents learn?

During the program, parents will discover:

How their child communicates and what steps they can take to support them;
What motivates their child to communicate;
How to engage their child in turn-taking conversation even before the child begins to speak;
How to turn everyday situations into opportunities for learning new words;
How to express themselves in a way that the child understands and that encourages language learning.

What the program includes

Individual work

5 hours of one-on-one work with a certified Hanen^® speech therapist.

Group workshops

20 hours of workshops for parents in a small, supportive group.

Materials in English

All resources and workshops are available in English.
